Websites that add an instrumental to your vocals, compared
Updated · AI Vocals Generator
For one song without a subscription, AI Vocals Generator plays two backing takes around your vocal for $4.99, returns the music as its own track and never changes your recording. Lyro also keeps your acapella untouched on its own track, on a monthly plan from $14. Vocuno and MeloLab let you start free and mix the new music under your original vocal; Vocuno's downloads need a paid plan. OnlyMusic is free to try but makes a new song in which your voice, tune or rhythm may change. AISong needs an active subscription. Checked on each site's own pages on 2026-10-30, linked under Sources.
Real result
Most acapellas in these examples are AI vocals made for the demo; the one marked otherwise is a real choir's recording, credited under it. Each take is shown as it came out; the mix plays both tracks at full volume.
Add an instrumental to your vocals: six websites side by side
| Website | What you get back | Your vocal | Free to try? | To pay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI Vocals Generator (this site) | Two instrumental takes, each its own track, and a WAV of your mix | Never changed: the band plays under your file | No; a full refund on your first paid song within 7 days | $4.99 for one song, or credits from $9.99; credits never expire |
| Lyro | A track of instruments only, written to your vocal, in Lyro's studio (mixer, mastering) | "Not changed, re-sung or cloned", Lyro says | No free trial | Plans from $14 a month (80 credits); one credit per started minute, at least 5 |
| Vocuno | Two backing takes, each mixed under your recording; stem separation pulls the music out as its own file | Stays in the mix as the lead; "does not re-sing or replace it", Vocuno says | First generation free, no card; downloads need a paid plan | Plans from $19 a month ($15 a month billed yearly); free-plan songs are for personal use |
| MeloLab | A mix: your original vocal layered over the new instrumental | Kept as the guide for the arrangement | Free to start, no card | Credits after the free tests; commercial terms shown before export |
| OnlyMusic | Two versions of a new song, singing and music together | May change: "your voice, tune, words, or rhythm may change", OnlyMusic says | Yes | Plans or credit packs; the music alone needs its Vocal Remover |
| AISong | A complete song with the instrumental | Not stated | No: "an active subscription is required" | 10 credits a song on a subscription; commercial rights with the subscription |
Which one fits
- Your vocal has to stay exactly as you sang it (to release it, or to keep mixing it): pick a site that returns the music on its own track under the untouched recording, this one or Lyro.
- One song without a subscription: here one song is $4.99 on its own. Lyro, Vocuno and AISong sell monthly plans.
- You want to try before paying: Vocuno's first generation is free (downloads need a plan), MeloLab and OnlyMusic have free starts. OnlyMusic may change the voice, so keep your original.
- You make songs every week and want mastering in the same studio: Lyro.
- You want to arrange it yourself for free: a free studio such as BandLab or GarageBand lets you put loops under your vocal, but you match the tempo and line it up by hand.
Do they all follow my tempo and key?
Every site here says its music follows your vocal's tempo and key. None of them copies a melody you hum: you steer the music with a genre and a few words about the instruments. A dry vocal with a steady tempo and no music bleeding in gives every one of them the best chance.
How we checked
On 2026-10-30 we read each site's own add-instrumental page (Vocuno's FAQ and Lyro's credit costs included). We didn't buy their plans, so what we say about their results is what they say about them. Suno announced an Add Instrumental feature, but on 2026-10-30 we found no help-center article for it, so it isn't in the table. Plans change often: check the price on the site before you pay, and email support@aivocalsgenerator.com if something here is out of date.
