Can ChatGPT add AI rap vocals to my own beat?

Updated · AI Vocals Generator

Not in the chat. When we asked ChatGPT on October 26, 2026 whether it could put AI rap vocals over our own instrumental, it said it can write the rap and help plan the timing, but the vocals need a dedicated AI music tool. So use it for the words: paste its bars into the box below with your beat, choose a male or female voice, and about a minute later an AI rapper has recorded two takes, each as its own vocal track over your untouched beat. $4.99 for one song, no subscription.

Write the bars with ChatGPT, then rap them here

  1. Ask ChatGPT for the verse and the hook. Tell it your beat's BPM and how many bars each part runs, and ask for one line per bar with the hook marked [Chorus].
  2. Upload your beat in the box above (no sign-up needed): MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC or OGG, 10 seconds to 8 minutes.
  3. Paste the bars and choose a male or female voice. Write bars the length of your beat's bars, and mark the hook with [Chorus]. Describe the flow in Style, like "laid-back, behind the beat" or "fast, aggressive drill flow".
  4. Make it: one song (two takes) is $4.99 on its own, or 10 credits; credits start at $9.99 for 50.
  5. Wait about a minute. Both takes play over your beat in the mixer: pick one, set the levels and move the vocal earlier or later if a line lands off.
  6. Download the vocal alone as a WAV lined up with your beat to finish it in your own DAW, or the mix as a WAV.

Will the AI rapper stay on my beat?

Usually, yes: the vocal follows your beat's tempo and key. It isn't locked to the beat sample by sample, so a word can land a little early or late, more often late in a long beat. Listen through both takes and nudge the vocal in the mixer if it needs it.

Can it sound like a famous rapper?

No. There is no voice cloning and no famous rapper's voice. Describe the flow and tone instead, like "gritty, low voice, slow flow".

ChatGPT also pointed to Suno's Add Vocals, on its Pro or Premier plans, and to Lyro. Suno makes a new song that follows your instrumental as closely as its Audio Strength setting says; Lyro gives the vocal back as its own track, on plans from $14 a month. We checked both on their own pages (Suno on 2026-10-20, Lyro on 2026-10-23); the side-by-side is in "Websites that add AI vocals to your own beat, compared", linked below.
